As part of his 8th Grade International Baccalaureate Community Project for Harvest Middle School, Gabe wanted to make a difference for companion animals in our community. He started a donation drive to collect new and gently used items for pet owners in need. Gabe’s efforts brought in food, toys, treats, leashes, and collars for Napa Valley’s pets and raised almost $100 for Napa Humane’s prevention-focused programs and services for companion animals and their people. Additionally, Gabe planned to volunteer at our March Wellness Clinic for low-income and underserved families so he could pass these items out to those in need. Sadly we had to cancel the March 15th Wellness Clinic, but we are so grateful to Gabe and glad that we got to meet him. The items he collected will be given out at a future wellness clinic and are so appreciated by our clients and their pets. Young people like Gabe give us hope for the future. Keep up the good work, Gabe.
