A Lifesaving Partnership: Napa Humane & Napa County Animal Shelter

One of our most impactful partnerships is with the Napa County Animal Shelter (NCAS)—a collaboration that ensures shelter pets receive the medical care, training, and support they need to find loving homes.

This lifesaving work would not be possible without supporters like YOU. Your donations, advocacy, and belief in our mission make all the difference for shelter pets. Thanks to your generosity, Dr. Vance and our veterinary team are able to provide expert medical care, and Alyssa, our Pet Education Manager, is helping evalulate shelter dogs, offering advice on how to develop the skills they need to thrive in their forever homes.

A special shoutout to your fantastic team!! We are so grateful to have Dr. Vance work her magic and see her passion for shelter medicine. Thank you for giving the community an amazing resource with Alyssa and the dog training program. We have used Alyssa for some of our more difficult behavior cases, and she has been a guiding light for our team as well as (unknowingly) being our therapist since she has firsthand experience working in a shelter. We truly appreciate everything you do!”

Because of YOUR generosity, Napa Humane has been able to provide critical support to shelter pets in need. This past year, together, we have made an incredible impact:

🐾 1,602 shelter animals received medical care and treatment
🐾 565 animals examined and treated by Dr. Vance
🐾 352 cat neuters performed at NCAS
🐾 685 shelter pets (dogs, cats, and rabbits) spayed/neutered through Napa Humane

These numbers represent real lives saved—pets who were given the medical care and behavioral support they needed to heal, grow, and find loving homes.
