Meet Tahoe: The Four-Legged Spark Who Brings Joy to Every Day
by Laticia Sahs | December 30th, 2025 | 11:39 am
Every month, Napa Humane’s 2026 Calendar celebrates a pet whose story reminds us why animals matter. Pets brighten our homes, motivate us to move, and shape our lives in ways we never forget.
Our January star is Tahoe, a joyful nugget of energy who fills his family’s life with love, laughter, and plenty of walking miles. While Tahoe enjoys the spotlight this month, all calendar sales support Napa Humane’s year-round lifesaving spay and neuter work. These funds make it possible for more pets like Tahoe to thrive in loving homes.
“He was ours from day one.”
Tahoe’s family adopted him as a puppy in March 2016. He arrived full of promise, wiggling with excitement, and ready to explore. His happiness was obvious from the beginning, and it has never faded. “He is always happy,” his family shared. If Tahoe could speak, he would probably tell you that every day is worth celebrating.
A Napa Pup with a Spirit for Adventure
Tahoe loves movement and routine. His ideal day includes a swim at the lake when he gets the chance and a sniff-filled walk through downtown Napa when he is home. The world is interesting to Tahoe and he likes to investigate every corner of it.
He does not just motivate himself to move. His family gets plenty of cardio too.
“He helps keep me VERY active, walking him 4 to 5 miles per day.”
Some dogs are companions. Tahoe is that, and he is also a committed personal trainer.
Squirrels Beware, Toys Beware. Everyone Else, Prepare to Laugh.
Tahoe has a sense of humor. After he plays with his toys, he rolls on them as if declaring victory at the end of each play session. It is his signature move.
Cats and squirrels are also part of his routine. Tahoe cannot resist a chase.
“He’s never met a cat or squirrel he did not want to chase.”
Living with Tahoe means daily smiles, occasional sighs, and endless stories.
“So much love coming from this four-legged nugget, but he can definitely test our patience when he is tired and wants something.”
Pets teach us so much. Tahoe teaches his family about resilience, commitment, physical movement, and the humor that makes a bond stronger.
Why Tahoe’s Family Supports Napa Humane
Tahoe brings so much joy to his family, and they want every pet in our community to have that same chance at a healthy and happy life. They shared that access to affordable veterinary services makes a big difference for families working hard to care for the pets they love
When our community comes together to support affordable veterinary care, more pets stay healthy, stay loved, and stay with their families.
Tahoe’s Legacy: More Happy Tails Ahead
Tahoe’s calendar photo will only be on display for one month, but his impact lasts all year. Every calendar purchase helps fund spay and neuter surgeries that keep our community healthier. These surgeries prevent unwanted litters, reduce strain on local shelters and rescues, and support pet families across Napa County.
