The Preventive Care Clinic is not a full-service veterinary hospital. To keep care affordable and appointments available, visits focus on preventive care and minor medical concerns. Pets needing extensive diagnostics, ongoing management of chronic conditions, surgery, or treatment for multiple complex issues may be referred to a full-service veterinarian.

Exam Fee
Exam Fee ($50) will be collected at the time of scheduling. Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund. Because appointments are limited and in high demand, we kindly ask that you honor our cancellation policy—doing so helps ensure that other community members have the opportunity to access these much-needed services.
Clinic Hours of Operation
The Napa Humane Preventive Care Clinic operates one day per week (typically Tuesdays) with appointments beginning at 9:00 am. Appointments MUST be scheduled. Walk-in appointments are not available.
Need vaccines, a nail trim, or anal gland expression, but not a full veterinary exam? Our technician appointments offer a convenient, scheduled option for routine preventive care. Appointments are $25, plus the cost of vaccines or other services provided, and can be scheduled by calling Napa Humane at 707.252.7442. Technician appointments are typically Thursdays.

What to expect at your appointment
Your visit will begin with a wellness exam by our veterinary team. This includes a general health check to assess your pet’s overall condition and identify any potential concerns. From there, we’ll provide the services you’ve requested, such as vaccinations, parasite prevention, microchipping, or treatment for minor issues like ear infections. Because our clinic is designed around focused preventive care, appointments are kept concise and centered on your pet’s scheduled needs.

Napa Humane’s Preventive Care Clinic is not a full-service veterinary clinic. Services are limited to preventive care and treatment for minor, non-urgent conditions. We are unable to provide emergency care, advanced diagnostics, or treatment for serious illnesses or injuries. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency or requires specialized care, we recommend contacting a full-service veterinary hospital.
